Salute 2010 was held on on May 19th at The Long Center for Performing Arts to recognize the Austin Independent School District's Community Partnerships & Teacher of the Year. 

  • Andrea Claire Johnson, a Language Arts teacher at Reagan High School, was named Austin Teacher of the Year.  
  • The 41st Hour Campaign was chosen as Partner of the Year for promoting school volunteerism by asking State of Texas employees to volunteer their 41st hour of work each week to Classroom Coaching. 
  • Austin City Manager, Marc Ott, was honored with the Chair's Award for his superb leadership in calling on hundreds of City employees to become Classroom Coaches and mentors.
