Job Description
Performs administrative and office support activities for Executive Director of a small education non-profit organization. Responsibilities also will include fielding telephone calls, scheduling meetings and assisting with overflow work from senior level associates.

Requirements
· Bachelors degree
· Minimum of 4 years of experience as Executive Administrative Assistant.
· Extensive software skills are required; Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication/writing skills.
· Excellent written and oral communications skills
· Energy, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, spirit of service
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and problem solve quickly
· Ability to work independently and on a team
· Ability to participate in a collaborative environment

- Collaborate with district and APIE staff to develop aligned Classroom Coaching Science Curriculum, as well as additional volunteer resources and training
- Coordinate volunteers at 1-2 schools for Partners in Science and Partners in Math, which includes training, placement, support, and recognition
- Coordinate the programs in approximately 15-20 classrooms, which includes collaborating with teachers and volunteers and resolving any conflicts
- Regularly visit schools to monitor and support programs (reliable transportation required)
- Establish relationships with corporate and community partners and manage communication related to volunteer recruitment and retention
- Assist with communication related to program expansion
- Assist in planning events for volunteers, including initial and ongoing trainings and appreciation/networking events during the school year

Development Manager

Development Manager
Position Overview
To coordinate, implement, evaluate and expand a development program for Austin Partners in Education. This includes assistance in tracking and securing financial gifts in support of the mission of the agency. To accomplish this, the Development Coordinator must proactively seek and manage grant opportunities as well as assist in the identification of prospective donors in the Austin community.
Job Responsibilities
The Development Manager will expand upon and support the fundraising efforts of the executive director. The candidate will report functionally to the associate director with a dotted line to the executive director. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Organize and manage master grants calendar, and identify and research prospective grants (i.e. private, corporate and community-based grants).
- Write proposals, grant applications, and other development reports and communications.
- Plan, initiate, administer, coordinate, and monitor the development calendar and meetings in accordance with executive director’s objectives.
- Administer and compile data on all grants, donor gifts and other solicitation efforts, and prepare regular and special reports for executive director.
- Maintain donor database
- Produce and/or edit communications pieces including annual report, newsletter and website updates.
- Plan and manage annual event for key supporters
Candidate Requirements
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of four (4) years of direct development experience, including grant writing and other development document production. This experience entails knowledge of the development process and understanding of all stages of the relationship with donors (identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship). Experience in donor database management is highly desirable. Additionally, Candidate must be personable, possess excellent written and oral communication skills, have strong computer capabilities in all Microsoft Office products, and possess strong organizational skills. Qualified candidates who have a background in working for social service or education agencies will be given serious consideration.
