Austin Partners in Education provides opportunities for additional support and resources for mentors throughout the school year. Along with activities that mentors can use during their meetings, Austin Partners invites mentors to participate in monthly meetings that encourage networking and discussion of specific topics that many mentors face.

Coffee with the Coordinator
Each month, Campus & Community Programs Manager Christin Alvarado invites mentors to stop by a local coffee shop to participate in a casual discussion of their mentor experiences. This is a great way to get individual feedback on questions or challenges you are facing with your student. Feel free to stay for 5 minutes or 2 hours for either of the Coffees below.

Wednesday, March 10
Thunderbird Coffee (1401 W. Koenig Lane, 78756)
7:00am - 9:00am

Enrichment Workshops
Periodically, Austin Partners hosts support meetings where mentors can focus on a specific topic that may be affecting their relationship or they can come to learn more about an issue they are interested in. While suggested readings or articles may be used, these workshops are more focused on creating a space for the mentors to learn from each other.
