Austin Partners in Education is the honored recipient of a major grant from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation (MSDF) for the third consecutive year. This generous $350,000 grant will fund Math and Reading Classroom Coaching programs for children in Austin’s rapidly growing and under-resourced communities over the next two years. The goal of Classroom Coaching is to provide Austin ISD students with the academic and personal support necessary to ensure they succeed in school and later careers.

Since 1999, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has committed more than $700 million dollars to make an impact on three focus areas: urban education, childhood health, and family economic stability. Both nationally and abroad, MSDF aims to empower underprivileged children with the knowledge and tools to escape poverty and become successful, healthy, and productive adults. By improving academic outcomes and increasing graduation rates among affected students, MSDF works to close the achievement gap between students from different socioeconomic backgrounds.

APIE is profoundly grateful for the continued support of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and their dedication to improving the academic futures of Austin’s youth. With invaluable community partners like MSDF, APIE is poised to expand to more classrooms and improve academic performance and opportunities for students most in need.
