Tutoring Programs
Tutoring programs are instrumental in ensuring that all students succeed academically. These flagship pilots address key academic needs as identified by AISD.
This summer, as part of the High School Redesign Initiative, AISD principals and key staff members are creating "Professional Learning Communities" that will expand into departmental learning communities and eventually into classroom-based student learning communities.
APIE's Collaborative Study Groups support Austin ISD's Learning Communities Initiative to bring rigor, relevance, relationships, and results into the classroom. Volunteers partner with teachers to help deliver curriculum as study group coaches.
